Inclement Weather and School Busing

When inclement weather is in the forecast, please monitor AFN Radio and TV for information.  Installation commanders assess road conditions in their area of responsibility day and night.  If the commander determines roads are safe, schools will start normal time.  If not, schools will be closed or have delayed start.

If weather becomes hazardous during the day, the principal or designee will confer with the installation commander to coordinate the early release of students.  Every effort will be made to announce the early release to the masses.  However, if all else fails or your child does not report home in a timely manner, call the school or Student Transportation Office.   

Inclement weather directives may vary at each installation.  Please listen closely
to AFN Radio and TV for announcements of pertinent information.  Road conditions for installations can be checked by calling 738-ROAD, 738-7623 to hear recorded message.  Check frequently as messages are updated as conditions change.    

Note:  For students at Camp Humphreys attending Osan American High School, please listen to both Osan and Camp Humphreys’ announcements.  While one installation has clear conditions the other may not resulting in no school or delayed opening.
