Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) AVID teaches academic and "survival skills" at all Korean middle and high schools. The AVID course is an elective course specifically designed to prepare students for success in college. Students are provided support in developing the skills needed to be successful in academically rigorous work in core classes as well as in honors and Advanced Placement (AP) classes.
